NIC Adds Podcasting to its Award-Winning
Investor Relations Program

OLATHE, Kan. – November 4, 2005 – NIC Inc. (Nasdaq: EGOV) today announced that it has begun offering podcast downloads of major investor announcements through its Web site at www.nicusa.com/investor.

Podcasts are electronic feeds of audio files that are distributed via Internet download and can be stored on computers or digital music players. Podcasts can be saved like other audio files and played back whenever the listener chooses. Investors can use podcasting software to download newly posted files automatically to iPods and other MP3 players. For more information on how to access NIC's investor relations podcasts, visit www.nicusa.com/investor.

Podcasting is the latest addition to NIC's award-winning investor relations program. Earlier this year, NIC's investor relations Web site was named the best interactive services/eCommerce site in the Web Marketing Association's 2005 Interactive Investor Relations Awards (www.iirawards.org). NIC's 2004 annual report was ranked 27th out of more than 1,400 entries in the League of American Communications Professionals 2004 Vision Awards competition (www.lacp.com/2004vision) and placed first in the IT service provider category. NIC's 2004 annual report was also recently recognized for excellence in both the financial presentation and photography categories by the American Business Communicators (www.ambizcom.com).

"We are committed to using emerging and established means to deliver transparent and timely communications to the investment community," said Eric Bur, Chief Financial Officer of NIC. "Podcasting provides yet another relevant channel to reach our investors and is an excellent addition to our best-in-class investor relations program."
